Daniel: The Captivity & Restoration

Christian Light Choir
This Cantata was first published in 1853. Some are
familiar with George Root's cantata "David the Shepherd Boy." Root
along with William Bradbury wrote the music for the cantata. The words
were written by C.M. Cady and the famous songwriter Fanny Crosby. It is
presented a Capella by the Christian Light Choir and Directed by Michael
Fisher. The songs are presented in a sequence that tells the story of
Daniel and is available only in it's entirety. The sound sample is longer
than usual and taken from the middle of the musical.
